Anxiety
You may be experiencing anxiety if your mind feels like it won’t slow down, you’re constantly anticipating what could go wrong, or you find yourself overthinking conversations, decisions, or relationships. Anxiety can also show up in your body—feeling restless, tense, overwhelmed, on edge, or having trouble sleeping or concentrating. Sometimes anxiety becomes so exhausting that you begin to withdraw, shut down, or feel disconnected from the things you normally enjoy.
In therapy, we’ll look beyond the anxiety itself to understand what may be underneath it. This might include past experiences, trauma, attachment patterns, grief, current stress, or simply the ways your mind and body have learned to respond to uncertainty and perceived threat. The goal isn’t just to make the anxiety go away, but to understand it and develop ways of feeling safer, more grounded, and more in control of your life.
